Metro Solution’s mission is to serve as a fiscal intermediary that enables diverse community service providers to acquire funds and maximize resources. With trust and integrity, Metro Solutions supports its clients’ contributions to communities and helps to advance community well being.
They have made it possible for clients to capitalize on available funding in order to provide programs and services to the indigent and working poor. Metro Solutions also administers "Mini-Grants" to qualifying Wayne County entities and
through their client's efforts - have helped thousands of members of the community reach out for available care.
Metro Solutions knows that communities revolve around their volunteers. You know them – the ones that always are ready to help. Never driven by recognition – but always selfless when it comes to getting a job done.
Every day Metro Solutions works with these heroes – and believe that finding and recognizing them inspires us all. Everyone knows at least one – the one person that stands out as the example of what we should all strive to be. It’s that special person that has the single biggest effect on those around them.

They will represent a special group of individuals that capture the spirit of volunteerism, selflessness, and measurable progress in the lives of others.

Five candidates will be chosen by a select group of area leaders and will be recognized with a financial award made out to the charity of their choice. It’s going to be an exciting and inspiring part of the Metro Solutions mini-grant awards and annual meeting in October 19, 2012.
The Metro Solutions Mini-Grant Program is an annual initiative that provides funding to non-profit organizations involved in the development and implementation of projects in the fields of disease prevention and management, workplace safety, and health education and wellness.
The grant program exists to promote health and wellness in Wayne County by facilitating access to healthcare for vulnerable populations with limited or no access to healthcare prevention, screening and treatment due to these common challenges: physical, cultural, linguistic, financial, socio-economic, domestic, or transportation.
Eligibility is limited to Wayne County nonprofit organizations and institutions primarily serving Wayne County residents and employees. Entities must be registered in the State of Michigan and have an Employer Identification Number (EIN). Individual awards will range from $2,500 to $10,000 and are determined by a board created selection committee and approved at the sole discretion of the Board of Directors of Metro Solutions.
The Metro Solutions Mini-grant award's goal is to promote health and wellness in Wayne County supporting Chronic Health Issues by Non-Profits in the area of
• Obesity
• Diabetes
• Drug & Alcohol Addiction
